The Common Beer Hops plant is a staple in the world of brewing, responsible for adding the distinctive bitter taste and aroma to beers. Aside from its brewing significance, it's a fast-growing, hardy climbing vine, making it perfect for ornamental purposes, especially for trellises or archways. Its lovely, cone-shaped flowers not only have a role in beer-making but also serve as an attractive feature in gardens. Embark on the journey of brewing your own beer or simply enjoy this beautiful vine in your garden.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Hops seeds can be slow to germinate. Cold stratify the seeds for 30-90 days prior to sowing seeds. After that, sow seeds 1/8" deep, at 68-72° and keep moist under germination. Typical germination is 35-42 days. If the hops seeds have not germinated, put them back in the refrigerator and repeat the cycle.
