Dahlia seeds are a must-have! They're so easy to grow that you don't need to worry about growing them and they will thrive in any landscape. The bright colors of this variety, which have double flowered pompons and a double flower, will make it the perfect focal point for the border. It is also easy to cut for arrangements. Basically, one plant will produce enough flowers for many bouquets. The flowers may be small, but they are perfectly formed, making them ideal for arranging in a vase. In addition to complementing the shrubs and ornamental grasses in the border, the flowers also look stunning strewn across the bed. These are a Southern Seed Exchange favorite!!!
Direct sow seeds in early spring once the temps reach 70° or higher in an area that gets 6+ hours of sunlight, sowing 2-3 seeds per plant in full sun and well draining soil. Lightly cover the seeds with a dusting of soil or some peat moss. Keep moist until germination which typically occurs in 3 weeks or less. Space the plants 18" apart.
