This drought-tolerant perennial thrives in full sun and well-draining soil, adding a touch of elegance and whimsy to your landscape. Its delicate flowers attract a variety of pollinators, including butterflies and bees, making it a valuable addition to any pollinator garden.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Direct sow in late fall planting seeds just under the surface and watering once. If direct sown in the spring, the seeds must be stratified first by mixing it with moist sand and stored in the refrigerator for 60 days. After the cold treatment, sow in flats keeping the soil evenly moist and at 65-70° until germination. Transplant the seedlings after the last frost of spring. Silky Aster prefers full sun and medium to dry soil. It will tolerate drought, but will grow best with regular watering.
