Changing the name of a company is never an easy decision. In many ways, a business is like a child that you nurture and grow, and changing its name feels as significant as renaming a child. Despite the challenges, we believe that renaming Southern Seeds to Seed Therapy will ultimately benefit our long-term vision and goals.

Many of you have experienced firsthand the confusion that arises from our name's similarity to others in the industry. We've received numerous messages from gardeners who, having purchased from other "southern seed" companies, reach out to us by mistake to try to fix their ordering issues. Honestly, whether it's a website or Etsy store, it seems like there's a new company popping up everyday, so we understand the confusion. These mix-ups, often leading to unnecessary frustration, have made it clear that a change was essential. While we always strive to assist everyone in finding the correct company, these situations can inadvertently affect our reputation through no fault of our own.

Moreover, the name "Southern Seeds" has occasionally led to misunderstandings, prompting numerous daily inquiries from customers wondering if our seeds are suitable for non-southern climates. In reality, our diverse seed selection thrives across America, from Alaska's cool climates to the warmth of Florida, and from California to Maine. By rebranding as Seed Therapy, we aim to clear up any confusion and more accurately represent the wide adaptability of our seeds.

Additionally, as we evolve, we are embracing a holistic approach to our product line. Coming from a lineage of herbalists, growers, and naturalists, our foundation in medicinal herbs deeply influences our expansion. Seed Therapy will not only continue to offer high-quality heirloom and non-GMO seeds, but will also begin introducing natural and holistic products.
